Rayburn Travel Group has proudly supported the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre for several years, by actively participating in a range of charitable initiatives including bake sales, fancy dress days in the office, Christmas present donations, and more.
All the funds we’ve raised goes directly towards supporting the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre. Our partnership with the organisation is especially meaningful to us, as it aligns with our core values of making a positive impact and offering life-changing experiences for children.
The charity offers children across Derbyshire the opportunity to take a break, unwind and create everlasting memories. Through our continued support, we strive to bring joy and create life-changing experience that will leave an enduring mark on the hearts of every child involved.
Sustainability Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide memorable trips for future generations. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and to working positively with our employees, partners, clients and communities.
Who are the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre?
The Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre has been operating since 1891, offering disadvantaged children the opportunity to experience unforgettable seaside holidays. Nestled in the heart of Skegness, the centre hosts over 600 residential holidays each year, creating lasting memories for children in need.
While the 2025 season has been paused, the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre is determined to make a triumph return in 2026 with a Comeback Appeal and are committed to supporting their mission. This year, we are formally partnering with the centre by pledging a £2000 donation every quarter of this year, as we continue our shared journey of helping children build unforgettable memories and brighter futures.
The collaboration between the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre and Rayburn Tours is a great partnership built on shared values, making a real difference in young lives.

CosyChild Bike and Hike 2025
Our staff participated in the Cosy Child Bike and Hike on the 17th of May, supporting the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre, walking an impressive 20 miles!
Grand Day Out
In July 2025, the Rayburn Travel Group team were proud to join families supported by the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre for a well-deserved seaside escape as part of the charity’s fully funded Grand Day Out. The day began at the Holiday Centre, where families enjoyed refreshments and explored the facilities that offer fully funded breaks to disadvantaged children.
Hearing first-hand how these holidays transform young lives, and seeing the exciting developments underway as the centre prepares to welcome groups back in 2026, was truly inspiring. The rest of the day brought sunshine, sand and plenty of smiles as families embraced the chance to relax and play by the sea.
Derby Santa Fun Run, Christmas Jumper Week, and More
In November, our incredible Rayburn Travel Group team took part in Derby’s Santa Fun Run in support of the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre. Dressed in their festive best, our Santas brought plenty of holiday spirit to Markeaton Park, as they ran to raise awareness and support for a cause close to our hearts.
It was a joyful event filled with energy, laughter and community spirit, and we were proud to see our team making a meaningful difference whilst spreading a bit of seasonal cheer along the way!
Furthermore, the festive fun was in full swing here at Rayburn Travel Group as we embraced Christmas Jumper Week and hosted a delicious bake sale in support of the DCHC’s Big Give Week! From colourful knits to homemade treats, the team came together to raise both funds and festive cheer, all whilst championing a cause that means so much to us. With every donation made throughout the week being doubled, our efforts went even further in helping the charity provide life-changing holidays for children who need them most.
As we move towards reopening in 2026, I see our partnership with Rayburn Travel Group becoming even more collaborative and impactful. The synergy between our organisations — a shared belief in the power of experiences to inspire and transform young lives — continues to grow. Next year, we’re hoping to welcome Rayburn staff as volunteers at more of our fundraising events, and also as part of practical work parties at the Centre, helping with decorating, makeovers, and getting the site ready for children once again. With their enthusiasm, generosity and already-proven willingness to get stuck in, I’m confident this partnership will deepen even further. Together, we can reopen stronger than ever and create opportunities that truly change lives.
